IGAS CODE OF ETHICS

The International Graphoanalysis Society, Inc. owns the trademarks GraphoanalysisŪ and GraphoanalystŪ which have been used for decades worldwide to identify the services of the Society and its members in practicing the science of Graphoanalysis. I understand that in accordance with a long tradition of professionalism and excellence, I will be granted permission to use these trademarks when I am certified as a Graphoanalyst and for so long as I am thereafter a member in good standing of the Society.

As a Graphoanalyst, I will apply the teachings of the Society to the best of my ability and will seek to use my knowledge and training to assist others in understanding the characteristics of personality that are revealed by the application of Graphoanalysis.

My reports and analyses will always present the facts -- tactfully, without bias or censure, but truthfully, and with professionalism.

I will not allow other systems of handwriting analysis to change or affect my application of the science of Graphoanalysis, nor will I endorse or practice any method of handwriting analysis that the Society or Ethics Committee deems contrary to the principles of Graphoanalysis.

My conduct, appearance, deportment, and actions will at all times and in all places inspire confidence and reflect credit on myself and my clients.

It is my obligation and duty to assist and cooperate fully with my fellow Graphoanalysts by faithfully adhering to the principles taught by the International Graphoanalysis Society, and by staying within the limits of my qualifications in the use of Graphoanalysis.

I further acknowledge and understand that my training and certification as a Graphoanalyst does not qualify me as a document examiner without additional training in that specific field.

These are my responsibilities and pledges; I consider them to be my professional trust and gladly accept them. I understand that any violation of these obligations could result in discipline or expulsion from the Society and termination of my license to use the trademarks owned by the Society.
